Kiana Costa, LCSW

Hi all! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both the state of RI and MA. I began my educational journey obtaining my BSW from Rhode Island College and then proceeded to receive my MSW from Simmons College. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults across a multitude of settings including inpatient hospitalizations, residential treatment programs and correctional facilities. I have experience working with those who struggle with a multitude of mental health issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, family conflict, relationship issues, acceptance and substance use disorders.

To best address the unique needs of clients I have versed myself in multiple evidence-based intervention styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Approaches, Relaxation Training, Solution-Focused Therapy and Strengths Focused Therapy. I additionally have experience in working in group settings and providing psychoeducation.

I understand how difficult it can be to seek help, especially when we may deem, we are unworthy of such help. However, through establishing a safe, supportive, collaborative, and therapeutic relationship, we can work together to find your voice, identify your needs and goals and work towards a journey of positive change and an improved quality of life.

I intend to meet each of my clients where they are at and work together to create positive changes. I welcome you to take the first step in change by reaching out.
