Sarah Chandler
LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island, committed to supporting you through any barriers or mental health challenges you may be experiencing. I received my Masters of Clinical Social Work at Walla Walla University in Washington. I have worked with people of all ages, with the youngest being 5 years old to the oldest at 81 years young. My experience comes from working at adult group homes, a mental health and addictions center, a home- based trauma focused program, and a behavioral school for children ages 5-12. Throughout my career, I have gained great insight into how to best support people from very diverse backgrounds who have experienced abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, grief, family conflict, life transitions, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Understanding that every person is unique, I choose to utilize a combination of different modalities to fit and tailor each session to every individual's needs. Some of these may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Systems Therapy, Solutions- Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and different types of art and play therapy techniques.
I am passionate about learning your strengths, so that we can work together to see how they can best support you in navigating life’s obstacles. I hope to create a safe space where you feel comfortable in expressing yourself and learning that it’s ok to sit with your vulnerability. I can’t wait to meet you, and am proud of you for taking this next step in your healing journey!
