Cassie Lapati, LMHCA

I received my Master of Arts in Adult Education from the University of Rhode Island and my Master of Education in School Counseling from Providence College. I am currently an intern earning my CGS at Rhode Island College. I have worked in the business world for 10-plus years and in educational settings where I have worked closely with students, parents, and the community. My unique background allows me to have a deeper understanding of the demands and stressors of everyday life, college and career transitions, and student and school concerns.

I have a passion to help those looking for counseling services for all different aspects of life, especially those experiencing anxiety, depression, family matters, career issues, adjustment issues, and all struggles of daily life. I utilize multiple methodologies including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and Mindfulness. However, I believe in the importance of the counselor and client relationship and will tailor my work to meet my clients where they are and to help them reach their goals. I use a holistic approach to work with clients to support their growth, while empowering them to develop healthy coping skills and make positive changes in a judgment-free setting.
