Christine Gamelin, LMHCA
Welcome! I am glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
My career in mental health began in 1995, working with adults in residential and community-based settings. I later managed a nonprofit supervised apartment program, further strengthening my commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful, fulfilling lives.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree earned in 1995 through my studies in education and psychology at Rhode Island College, a degree in occupational therapy from New England Institute of Technology earned in 2016, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johnson & Wales University.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy. I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs, helping clients develop healthy coping skills, manage difficult emotions, navigate life transitions, and strengthen their emotional well-being.
I welcome the opportunity to work with children, adults, and older adults, supporting each person in discovering their strengths, building resilience, and moving toward meaningful personal growth. I look forward to meeting you, learning about your unique story, and supporting you on your journey toward healing and well-being.
Christine will begin seeing clients beginning November 2, 2026. She will accept BCBS, NHP, United, Student Resources, Aetna, Tufts Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Harvard Pilgrim insurance plans as well as self pay.
