Rachel Armada
LICSW
I received my MSW degree from Rhode Island College. Post-graduation, I have primarily worked in community mental health crisis intervention alongside first responders. I also have experience working in a variety of other social work domains, including: residential family shelters, various school systems, groups, substance use intervention, and outpatient behavioral health services. In the private therapy setting, I specialize in working with pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults who are seeking support related to depression, anxiety, difficult life adjustments, and/or trauma recovery.
To best suit the unique needs of each client, I utilize a variety of evidence based intervention styles, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness coaching, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I thoroughly believe my clients are the experts of their own life. Together, I strive to guide clients towards a sense of emotional resiliency and achievement of self-identified treatment goals in a collaborative, safe, non-judgmental environment.
Rachel currently accepts BCBS, NHP, and United, as well as self pay clients.
