Darcy Neago, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Darcy is a doctoral-trained, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on children of all ages, including teens, as well as new parents navigating postpartum mental health and other life transitions. A New England native and military veteran, Darcy has provided nursing care to military and multinational families overseas, including extensive work with teens in that setting — an experience that shapes her appreciation for the diverse backgrounds and perspectives her patients bring to care. She brings over 15 years of experience across nursing disciplines to her psychiatric practice, including extensive medication management experience for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and attention-related concerns.

As a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Darcy brings a whole-person perspective to mental health care — considering how physical health, development, and psychiatric symptoms intersect, especially in younger patients still navigating both. Her primary focus is psychiatric medication management, delivered through a collaborative, motivational-interviewing-informed approach that helps patients and families feel heard as they work together toward an individualized treatment plan tailored to the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Accepting new patients of all ages in Rhode Island both in person and via Telehealth.

Darcy sees clients with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), NHP, United, Harvard Pilgrim, TUFTS, Medicare, Medicaid, and Aetna, CIGNA insurances as well as self pay accepted.
