Why use mediation?

Mediation is a place to discuss possible outcomes for a divorce, separation and / or change in parenting arrangements. It is confidential and neutral where a third party is used to facilitate discussion toward the goal of resolution.

The Process

Initial Meeting : Each party has the opportunity to ask questions about the mediation process.

Agreement to Mediate : Both parties agree to proceed with mediation after the initial meeting.

Mediation Sessions: Meet for as many sessions as necessary. Each session will facilitate open communication, allowing both parties to express their perspectives and negotiate terms.

Drafting the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): Work together to outline and document agreed-upon terms. The MOU will include all key points of agreement and any action items moving forward.

Final Review and Signing: Go over the MOU to ensure both parties are satisfied with the terms. Once both parties agree, they will sign the MOU, concluding the mediation process and solidifying their agreement.

Mediation is an investment in your future. Our rate for mediation is $250 per hour.

Mediation is a collaborative process focused on finding common ground. These sessions aim to facilitate a cooperative dialogue, helping both parties navigate their divorce-related concerns and arrive at a mutually beneficial agreement.
