LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy in Rhode Island
Finding a therapist who truly understands your identity shouldn't be a guessing game. Our licensed therapists in Warwick and Middletown provide affirming, judgment-free care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families across Rhode Island.
Our Approach
What Affirming Therapy Means at Arrow
Affirming therapy starts from the position that your sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are normal variations of human experience, not something to be corrected or minimized. Rather than treating your identity as the problem, our therapists focus on the real issues that bring people to therapy: anxiety, depression, family conflict, relationship stress, and the added weight of navigating a world that doesn't always make space for you.
Every therapist on our team who provides LGBTQIA+ affirming care approaches sessions with cultural humility, ongoing training, and a genuine respect for the fact that no two clients' experiences of their identity are the same.

How We Help
Our Approach to Affirming Care
Individual Therapy
One-on-one sessions focused on your specific goals, whether that's processing identity, managing anxiety or depression, or simply having a space where you don't have to explain the basics. Learn more about individual therapy.
Family Therapy
When a loved one is struggling to understand or accept an LGBTQIA+ family member, structured family therapy sessions can rebuild communication and reduce conflict at home.
